The engineering graduate from Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering, Trivandrum, Kerala is not a new face to the Kerala audience. She had a tough time with filmi dance because the style was very different from normal classical dance, especially when it came to fast steps. Her first movie was a great success. She received offers from Tamil films also but at present she plans on concentrating only on Malayalam. Her favorite actress is Manju Warrier. When asked in an interview if she was interested in doing glamour roles she said "Not interested.
